The American Chemistry Council (ACC) anticipates U.S. chemical production to be in a solid growth position for at least the next two years. According to the ACC and articles by highly respected commodities analysts, expectations of 3.2% for 2015 and 3% for 2016 are very realistic, with even better times following the initial surge. The ACC predicts that domestic chemical industry growth will exceed that of the nation as a whole in the next few years. All this good news can be attributed to shale gas. The Wall Street Daily links the success to the Shale Revolution causing a Chemical Renaissance.
